Aside from writing quality content, there's a wide variety of techniques you can use to keep your blog sticky and keep on converting. Here are more ways to decrease bounce rate:![]()
Display only partial posts.
If you want more clicks on your site, don’t post the whole write-up on one page. Instead, show only the first paragraph or a few sentences to whet your readers' appetites. If you prefer, a short but appealing description of the write-up will help you do the trick. Provide a link that says 'Read more' below the paragraph that readers can click on to access the rest of the write-up.
Post a series of write-ups.
If you have an interesting article to write and foresee that it's a long one, write a series of articles that you post over a short period of time. Your readers will then go back to your site and click on the necessary links.
Many websites make the mistake of posting their write-ups and after some time has passed, allowing these articles to disappear into oblivion. That's a waste of good content. Give your visitors more reason to stay and click around on your site by using older posts as references.

Re-posting old posts is not a bad thing. In fact, it even helps attract more readers and lurkers to your blog. All in due time, of course. It's not exactly interesting to read something that's weeks old for the second time. Unless of course, the post is relevant.
