I thought of having some good time trying to look at the bad sides of our favorite monetization program - Google AdSense. So here are the AdSense flaws that everyone who's serious on trying to make money from AdSense should be concerned about:
Stating the Obvious
If you happen to drop by a blog with advertisements, you would practically identify easily which of them are actually Adsense. By instinct, Internet users are becoming more wary of ads. Thus, they will be happy to read all your contents but will never make it a habit to click on them not unless the ads are very much interesting (actually users are in love with work-at-home jobs and anything th
at says “free” or “make money online”). To make matters worse, Google ads come with a tag that read “ads by Google.” So how obvious can the AdSense ads possibly get?
There's the usual advice about changing the ad format or design of your ads and placing the ads somewhere else every now and then.
You can also use images besides your text-based ads LEGALLY.
Also, although many would not advise it for SEO reasons, I'm a fan of changing the design of a website every now and then. Aside from giving it a fresher look, it also reduces ad-blindness.
What would you add to those ways of making your AdSense ads less-obvious?
