Although not without reservations, I'm sure there are still many publishers who are eager to make use of AdSense Referral Products ads to increase their revenue. What they didn’t expect, however, was the formatting dilemmas and other problems they’d encounter when setting it up.
Fortunately, Rajiv Sud of the Adsense Publisher Support published a helpful entry on the Adsense blog about the issue. He provides the following as possible reasons why Referral 2.0 ads won’t show up in a given website.
Size – Sizes that are not yet made available by Google for referral ads will not show up in your website.
Best Performing Ads – Leave this option checked to ensure that ads displayed on your website are available and active.
Limit – Websites are only allowed to display a maximum of three referral advertisements.
Website Content – Make sure that your website’s content is deemed appropriate and acceptable by the Google Adsense team. Otherwise, referral ads won’t show up in your pages.
Incorrect Code – Make sure you’ve copied and pasted the exact code!
Sud, however, promises that the Adsense team is diligently working on further improving the latest referral ad system from Google.
