If you're considering Exoclick to take the place of your AdSense ads, Matt Jones did an experiment somewhat between the two that might just change your mind:
For 8 days, one of his blog received 3000 uniques from 40,000 hits, which Exoclick only recorded as 1479 hits.
This is a surprisingly low conversion rate of only 0.012% (using the Exoclick stats). I was surprised at this because a couple of readers asked me about Exoclick saying that they were very well blended in, with the “ads by Exoclick” so far away from the ads that there must be a high conversion rate.
I italicized somewhat
in the introduction of this post because...
Although I have not yet used Google AdSense on this blog I can compare it to an old blog of mine that is still making AdSense earnings. The traffic this old blog is severely slumped, down to just 103 unique visitors for the 8 days. Despite this $4.55 has been earned from a lower number of clicks (Google’s TOS forbids me to reveal the exact number of clicks).
I wish Matt also tried AdSense on that same blog to further support the results.
