If you're an active member of the online community and have your own website, you must have met FeedBurner before. This is a company that handled RSS feed management and traffic distribution. FeedBurner has been doing such a good job that it soon got noticed by Google and has been snatched up for a cool $100 million. Not too shabby for a startup company.
Pros and Cons of this Acquisition 
Enhancement. When you have a product or service that already thrives on repute and solidity (such as Google has), every little thing that you acquire from then on is merely to ensure that your product rocks even more. This is what FeedBurner can do, helping enhance Google's Analytics and Reader products. This will help Google improve further its relationship with website owners and bloggers.
On the down side, Google's FeedBurner acquisition is still very new and as with new products, there's always bound to be some level of mistrust during the initial stages.
Many experienced bloggers feel that there is still concern regarding its reliability, now that it's essentially a Google service. Many bloggers also are not too crazy about having Google ads showing up on their RSS feeds.
