Podcasts are known to help augment online income through announcements of products or producing audio content that provide helpful information on various subjects. Those who earn from podcasts can either earn from them indirectly (through announcements during the podcast) or directly (through making people subscribe). But with the aid of technology and business-minded folks another monetization method was launched - serving ads.
Podzinger, a podcast search engine, has come up with an ad network that will let podcasters earn from their content. Like many contextual ad networks, Podzinger will show a 10-15 minute RELEVANT audio or video ad right before a podcast will be played.
How will relevant ads be served?
"PodZinger uses speech recognition technology and natural language processing to make multimedia content full-text searchable, and it classifies its content based on topic and usage."
Podcasters, just how feasible will this be?
