Best Placement for Banner and half-banner
Banner (468 x 60) and half banner (234 x 60) have some differences when it comes to click through rate.   Most people are very familiar with the Banner size 468 x 60 and there are some webmasters that have better CTR results with the half banner than the full banner.

My thoughts on this is that the banner looks more like an ad compared to a half banner.   In the adsense publishing world,  the more your ads don't look like an ad, the better it will perform.

Based on experience Banner and Half Banner do well after blog posts.    Best if you could squeeze it after the post and before the  part of the blog entry about comments and permalinks.   That way, the ad looks like it is still part of the content.
